Known for its playful personality, all-day brunch menu and creative cafe classics, The Rusty Rabbit is a Sydney-born cafe with plenty of character. Its Concord location brings a little brunch magic to the Inner West, making it a great spot to catch up over coffee or enjoy a relaxed breakfast.
What I Ordered
Feeling Rusty 🥑
If you're after a hearty brunch, the Feeling Rusty is one to consider. It's a classic breakfast spread featuring eggs your way, hash browns, portobello mushrooms, sautéed spinach, halloumi, bacon and sourdough with Pepe Saya butter. It's a great option when you're in the mood for a proper sit-down breakfast rather than just grabbing something on the go.
Flat White ☕
You can't visit a cafe without ordering a flat white, can you? It's a staple for any coffee lover, and it definitely deserves a spot on your order list.
Iced Latte 🧊☕
For those days when an iced coffee just hits differently, an iced latte is always a good choice. Whether you're catching up with friends or enjoying a little solo cafe date, it's a refreshing addition to your brunch order.
Sweet Potato Fritter 🍠
If you're looking to switch things up from the usual eggs on toast, the sweet potato fritter is worth considering. The dish combines sweet potato and corn fritter with spinach, bacon, avocado salsa, a poached egg and capsicum relish. It's a savoury brunch option with a bit more going on than your everyday breakfast plate.
What's Next on My Must-Try List?
Of course, one cafe visit is rarely enough to work your way through an entire menu, and I've already got a few reasons to return!
First up are the smoothies and protein shakes. The Peanut Protein and Nutella Protein Shake have both caught my eye. A protein shake that doubles as a little treat? I'm listening!
And then there's the pancake menu. Because sometimes brunch calls for something sweet, and I'm definitely not one to say no to pancakes.
Looks like I'll need to plan another cafe visit soon. I'm certainly not complaining!
