Celebrating the little things, every day
Welcome to my little corner of the internet
Hi, I'm Alison! I'm 29 and based in Sydney, Australia. I'm currently studying a Bachelor of Social Work, with the dream of one day working in geriatric palliative care in a hospital. It's a career that combines my passion for helping others with making a meaningful difference during some of life's most important moments.
The Person Behind the Blog
This blog is where I share the things that make life feel a little brighter—from discovering great cafés and the perfect cup of coffee to book recommendations, travel adventures, photography, and my running journey.
You'll also find honest conversations about wellbeing and mental health, because I believe it's just as important to celebrate the good days as it is to acknowledge the challenging ones. My hope is that this space feels inspiring, encouraging, and relatable.
When I'm not out exploring with my camera, training for my next run, or curled up with a good book, you'll probably find me enjoying a coffee, creating handmade pieces for my Etsy shop, or spending time with my Cavoodle.
Whether you're here for café inspiration, travel ideas, running motivation, or simply looking for a cosy place to read, I'm so glad you're here!
What Matters to Me
One thing that's always been close to my heart is giving back to my community. These days, you'll find me volunteering with the NSW State Emergency Service (SES), but over the years I've also spent time volunteering in the palliative care ward at Concord Hospital and welcoming visitors as a volunteer guide at Westmead Hospital. Those experiences have introduced me to some truly incredible people, taught me so much about compassion and resilience, and ultimately inspired the career path I'm working towards today.
